Knitwear Virgin Wool

Knitwear Virgin Wool

FABRIC DESCRIPTION:

Our finest 100% Virgin Wool fisherman knit. The yarns stem from Italy and are transformed into a unique rib structure in Belgium. The fisherman style with a ribbed stitch adds a voluminous yet comfortable look. The virgin wool fabric is smooth, soft and strong.

The most important properties of fine wool are durability and strength. As a natural and active fibre, wool reacts to your body temperature and helps to regulate colder and warmer situation. Therefore, the fisherman knit fabric can be considered the perfect winter essential for cold days outside or cosy moments inside.

SUSTAINABLE ATTRIBUTES

Wool is a fibre which stems from a natural source. This fibre contains multiple sustainable characteristics as it is easy to recycle and degrades in an organic way. In addition, wool has a self-cleaning nature by simply hanging your garment out in the fresh air and letting it get rid of unwanted smells. Due to these elements, it is a versatile, long-lasting and sustainable garment.

GARMENT CARE DESCRIPTION:

This is a general guide on how to care for your fine wool garment, helping you make your clothes look better and last longer.

HAND WASH

Because virgin wool is so delicate, we recommend always hand washing it with lukewarm water. Use an appropriate soap made to specifically wash wool so as not to damage the scales.

DRY NATURALLY

It is recommended that these garments are flat dried after washing on surfaces away from direct sunlight. These garments are not recommended to tumble dry. To speed up the drying process, you can roll your clothes in white towels to absorb the water. Never hang up wet knitwear, it will lose its shape. Virgin wool should not be dried in an electric dryer.

LOW IRONING

Set the iron on the Wool or Medium heat setting. Too hot-a-setting could lead to discoloration or in the worst case causes scorch marks. However, the best option is to lay the garment flat and gently by hand; this way it will be wrinkle free.
