Classic T-Shirts Cotton

Classic T-Shirts Cotton

FABRIC DESCRIPTION:

Our 100% Cotton T-Shirts. These are sourced and manufactured by a small-scale family business in Italy. The cotton is a breathable and resistant fabric which makes it ready to wear, timeless, easily washable.

100% cotton means that it is made from fibres collected from the plants and that the yarn is not mixed with other entities. Resulting in a stronger, softer and more comfortable fabric. The yarn wicks moisture and therefore allows the skin to breathe and reduces the possibility of breakouts. All in all, the classic t-shirt cotton is our evergreen and permanent item in all our collections.

SUSTAINABLE ATTRIBUTES

Cotton is a natural fibre and therefore biodegradable, recyclable and long-lasting. If cotton is produced in an environmentally friendly way, this means no or limited chemical use and natural fertilisers, it is a responsible fibre. We know that our manufactures use conscious practices and involve this philosophy. We are aware that there are no organic certifications. This is because the cost of certifying is for small-scale farmers themselves and therefore more of a financial limitation. Our cotton is thus not labelled ‘organic’ but nevertheless of high quality and more eco-friendly.

GARMENT CARE DESCRIPTION:

This is a general guide on how to care for your cotton garment, helping you make your clothes look better and last longer.

WASH CAREFULLY

Cotton needs to be washed a little more often since it does not have the natural anti-bacterial and odour-resistant properties. We suggest washing it at 30°C or hand wash for spot treatments, in order to expose the yarn to less stress , prolonging the lifetime of the garment. Since its coloured garments, we recommend turning them inside out before washing, for the purpose of protecting the outer surface of the fabric.

DRY NATURALLY

Give a gentle stretch or shake when the piece comes out of the washing machine to get them back into its natural shape. To prevent shrinkage or deformation in the drying process, the yarn should be air-dried and out of the sun if possible and dry it on a plane surface.

IRONING & STEAMING

Cotton garments often don’t need ironing if you gently shake or stretch them when they come out of the washing machine and let them dry on a plane surface. If the garments do need ironing, then we recommend placing a slightly damp cloth over the thread to avoid direct heat ruining the material or using the steam setting on the iron.
